X series - powered by Athlon XP Our range of AMD Athlon XP powered servers will fulfil the requirements of most SMEs, at a price which won't break the bank!

X101: XP1800+ processor, 120GB storage.
X102: XP2000+ processor, 120GB storage.
X103: XP2200+ processor, 120GB storage.
X104: XP2400+ processor, 160GB storage.
X105: XP2600+ processor, 180GB storage.

All models except X105 supplied with 512MB DDR RAM. Model X105 supplied with 1024MB DDR RAM. All models expandable to 3GB RAM.

XS series - powered by Opteron For the most demanding applications, our range of Opteron powered servers offer a performance that is second-to-none, at an affordable price. XS201: Opteron 140 processor, 200GB storage XS202: Opteron 142 processor, 250GB storage XS203: Opteron 144 processor, 300GB storage All Opteron servers are supplied with 1024MB DDR RAM, expandable to 6GB.

Pricing and rental options

In addition to outright purchase, we also offer a rental option which includes ongoing technical support. Please note rental option is subject to a minimum contract term.

Prices correct as of 1st December 2003. Component prices may fluctuate on a daily basis, therefore these prices may be considered a guideline only. A final price will be agreed before your order is confirmed.

Please note the X101 and X102 models are no longer available. Support is still available for these products.

Purchase price includes 12 months technical support. If you require technical support after this period, you must take out a support contract, currently £35 per month.

Optional extras

The following options may be specified at time of ordering:

DDS-5 tape backup system   £900

A DDS-5 tape drive and suitable SCSI card will be fitted to your server. A set of 10 DDS-5 media is also supplied, allowing full rotational backups. This option can not be installed in a 1U rack mount case.

Mirrored hard disk   £200

Your server will be fitted with two identical hard disks with mirroring. If one drive fails, an exact copy of your data will be stored on the second drive.

Removable drive cradle   £20 per disk

Hard drives will mounted in a removable cradle. Additional cradles can be fitted - up to 4 - allowing additional storage capacity to be brought online without the need to dismantle the server. Please note that these cradles are not hot-swappable.

Enterprise server case   £300

To minimise costs, these servers are built into a standard ATX PC case. We can provide an enterprise server case at extra cost.

Server case with redundant PSU   £600

As above, but with twin redundant power supplies.

1U rackmount case   £200

A 1U rack case, suitable for servers that are to be located in a datacentre. CPU fan will be replaced by low-profile type. Please note that this case can only support a maximum of two hard drives.

T and D series

The T (AMD Athlon Thunderbird) and D (AMD Duron) ranges of servers have now been discontinued as of October 2003. Thunderbird chips are no longer generally available, and while it is still possible to obtain a 1400MHz Duron CPU the build cost of the machine is the same as an X101. Therefore we have decided to discontinue the D series servers.

Support for these models will remain available.

Both T and D series servers can be upgraded to X series by means of a CPU swap-out if required. This upgrade is only worthwhile if your server has DDR RAM fitted - D series and early T series units did not.
