It gives Squirrel Solutions great pleasure to announce that we have just successfully tendered for a contract to update and maintain the IT systems for GMN Ltd, the franchise holders for KFC restaurants in the Gloucestershire area.
This work involves renewing the franchise owner's internal systems and rebuilding their internal network. To this end, we have supplied GMN Ltd with a high-performance RAID unix server to run their back office and email systems.
The work also involved interfacing the back-of-house PC at each restaurant unit to the Virtual Private Network which we have set up from GMN's office in Quedgeley, and locking down the security settings to prevent tampering.
This work was successfully completed in 2 days, including site visits to all 8 outlets operated by GMN Ltd.
Squirrel Solutions now has a service contract with GMN Ltd for the next 6 months to maintain the system.
GMN Ltd runs 8 KFC outlets: Quedgeley, Metz Way and Westgate Street in Gloucester, Golden Valley, Centrum Park and High Street in Cheltenham, Hereford, and Ross-on-Wye.
